The Improvement Coalition CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise, established in 2024. Collectively we have decades of experience in improvement, education and leadership in the NHS and wider health and care sector.
We provide training, coaching, mentoring and consultancy in quality improvement, leadership, education and workforce development across the UK. Our mission is to support the under-supported to development confidence and capability in improvement and leadership. We are creating a coalition of improvers to deliver the best possible care throughout the UK and beyond.
Martin is our Director of Workforce, Organisational Development and Education. He is an experienced developer and nurse leader, with over 20 years leadership experience within the health and care sector. Martin is also a Professional Nurse Advocate and accredited QI Coach.
Some of Martin's recent work includes curating the highly successful "Parliament of Professional Advocates" in the UK, as well as leading national change initiatives such as the "Teaching Tuesday Clinics" to upskill nursing and midwifery staff in change processes.

Martin co-founded our not-for-profit enterprise as he loves to support all things change and aims to make change more accessible, inclusive and equitable.
Sid is our Director of Improvement and leads on all our quality improvement work. He is an experienced healthcare improver, with over 10 years QI experience in the NHS.
Some of Sid's recent accomplishments include leading on the national co-design and publication of the Quality Coach Development Programme, leading an MSc programme in QI and Patient Safety and running a national network for Systems Improvement in the UK.
Sid co-founded our not-for-profit enterprise as he is passionate about making QI more accessible and to empower those who often feel disempowered.
Hannah is our Head of Improvement and Co-Design. Hannah leads on all our collaborative and co-design work.
